Over The Line Tournament

Over The Line – Fiesta Island is where they hold the annual O.T.L (Over the Line) Tournament which is held on the second and third weekends in July. OTL serves as the primary fundraising source for OMBAC’s year-round charitable programs. OTL is more than “beer, babes and bats on the beach.” With worldwide competition, OTL began as a San Diego original, played by men and women into their 80’s. It is one of the last pure Southern California traditions left untouched by commercialism. OMBAC is continuing to enjoy the respect and admiration of the community. Focused on serving amateur sports and youth athletics, OMBAC enjoys unmatched leadership. If not for the dedication of its members and the unselfish gift of their time, OMBAC would no longer exist. Any profits from OTL go back into our community.

Walk the Piers in Pacific Beach and Ocean Beach!Let’s face it, when it comes to vacations in the Mission Beach area, there is a lot of good eating going on!!  Now it is time to walk off some of those great appetizers and desserts and check out some very scenic places at the same time. There are 2 very cool piers to visit in the area. The first is Crystal Pier. While you walk out onto the pier you will see right away it is a very popular spot for surfers and boogie boarders to go out in the water. Approaching the end of the peir you have a panoramic view of the beach areas and plenty of fresh air. Bring a camera and you won’t be disappinted. The second pier to check out is The Ocean Beach Pier Why? Because it is the largest pier on the west coast and is only about 4 miles south of the Crystal Pier in beautiful Ocean Beach. This pier has a little cafe on it and has some of the best views from the very end of the pier, looking north and south. It is an amazing pier and a great place for some relaxing time outdoors.

The staff knows what will look good on my body shape before I do! Really – they do. The girls that work there are highly qualified and everytime I go in to Pilar’s they help me find a great suit that fits well and makes me feel pretty (and skinny). Now, be prepared to spend a pretty penny on a suit at Pilar’s Swimwear. This ain’t Target. But know you are buying a suit that will last longer than one season and is of high quality craftsmanship. Plus your new suit will look great on you…or you will look great in your new suit. What ever the case is…get on the beach and rock that body!

At night, most of Garnet turn in to quite the young party scene, with full bars and hoppin’ restaurants.
